TWO TYPES OF SHUNGITE

>>Typical shungite, which comes from Zazhoginskaya mine in Karelia, contains about 30% of carbon, 57% of silicates and 13% of other minerals like

aluminium, iron, manganese oxides and some others. This material has black color, matt

surface, sometimes with visible inclusions of other minerals. 

High Grade Shungite

<<The other type is so-called " "noble" Shungite , which contains up to 94% of carbon. It has black color and metallic lustre. It comes in small quantities from Shunga village. But in general, it is 
a very rare type of shungite, and therefore, much more expensive.

  WHERE DOES IT COME FROM?

- - Shungite is a rare Precambrian carbonaceous rock of organic origin, found 

only in Russia, Karelia, Lake Onega area. Its name comes from the small village of Shunga
where it was first discovered. The people of the region knew of its healing powers for many centuries, as Czar Peter was known to come for the shungite infused waters, or "black stone" as it was known in old times. 
Scientists estimate the age of shungite to be almost 2 billion years old. The origin of this ancient stone is clouded in mystery... as to how it came to occur on this planet is unclear. 
Some say Shungite may have been formed in ancient oceans, and ended up on the land when land forms changed. Others it came to earth from outer space on a meteorite. -

WHAT MAKES IT SPECIAL 
>The Fullerene is one of 4 known crystalline modifications of carbon (except diamond, graphite and carbon). 
>Only recently discovered, fullerenes were among the scientific sensations of the 20th century. 
Named after the great architect, Buckminster Fuller, this closed, hollow cage of 60 or more carbon atoms that form a fullerene molecule, resembles the geodesic domes popularized in his work. 
>A fullerene is any molecule composed entirely of carbon, in the form of a hollow sphere, ellipsoid or tube. Spherical fullerenes are also called buckyballs. 
>On the fundamental frequency of fullerenes, the buckyballs of shungite fall right around the middle at c60 / c70, making the composition of the carbon safe and stable. 

>Fullerenes are compounds containing 60 carbon atoms. C60 is shaped like a closed hollow cage which resembles a soccer ball. >The discovery of the Fullerene was hailed as an important scientific discovery in the 20th century. It is usually found in tiny quantities in nature or made in a laboratory. 
- It is however found in shungite! 

 Fullerenes in our bodies behave as the most powerful and most long acting antioxidant as a means to fight free radicals. It is a natural antioxidant that can increase human immunity against many illnesses and diseases and suppresses the development of many allergies and systemic illnesses. 

>>The Fullerenes react readily and at a high rate with free radicals in your body, which are often the cause of cell damage or cell death. 
They are known to behave like a "radical sponge" as they can sponge-up and neutralize 20 or more free radicals per Fullerene molecule and have shown performances 100 times more effective than the current leading antioxidants such as Vitamin E . My Experience With Shungite, how we met  :)

 Having just come from a throat chakra clearing workshop, I was in the crystal shop and I felt like grabbing a grounding stone. There on the counter was a dark 3 inch sphere on a wooden base. I picked it up, not knowing what it was, and instantly felt ripples of energy and sensations flowing down my body. 

Turing to my friend, the shop owner, I said, 
"WHOA what is this? I want it!" 
"It's not for sale," she laughed, 
"Of course!" I cried, as I had a tendency to chose her personal favorites.. 
"It's that shungite stuff. . ." She pointed to a glass shelf where a new rock display had made its home. 

The humble and darkly mysterious shungite stones beckoned me over. Below the stones, the little description about the rocks that blew me away!

I promptly bought my first stone and have been making the crystal elixir for friends and family ever since. :) -

Shungite is one of Mother Nature's finest gifts for cleansing the environment. It works equally well for cleansing the human body. When water made with shungite is consumed, it balances and gently cleanses. Research from Russia indicates there is a decrease in the histamine in the bloodstream of those who drink shungite water-and a corresponding decrease in allergies. Shungite water also improves the elasticity of the skin and many skin problems. The water has been used externally for burns, rashes, insect bites, and small wounds. It has also been used internally for a long list of maladies. Emotional and psychological effects may be due to codes carried in the crystalline matrix of the fullerene-rich stone. Shungite interacts with the structure of water creating fullerene-like cages within the molecular water matrix. Codes for balance and harmony (the purpose of shungite on the Earth) are released and carried within the newly developed structure of the water. It is recommend shungite be used to "polish" already filtered and structured water. Using it to filter water may not be an efficient use of its potential. 

How to make the Elixir 

1. Start with a high alkaline filtered water or mid level ph distilled water. 

2. Add shungite 

a. If you are using the dull shungite, add 100 grams (about 1/2 cup of small stones) per ½ gallon of water. Allow the water to mature for 3 days or more before consuming. 

b. If you are using the crystalline form (elite/noble shungite) add 30 grams (about 1/8 cup of small stones) per ½ gallon of water and allow to mature for 3 hours or more prior to consuming. 

3. It is best to leave shungite in the water until it is consumed. This helps to maintain the fullerene-like structure and the hydrogen in the water.

<<<<<<<<<CONDUCTIVITY>>>>>>>>>>>

A very important property of shungite is its electric conductivity. It gives us a very simple 
method to tell the real shungite from any fakes or imitations. One needs a battery, a lamp and 
two wires. If you connect a battery to a lamp, and then touch a piece of shungite with wires, the 
lamp will flash. 

Also become familiar with the stone that it is similar to. A stone like hematite for example is much heavier than the carbon based "noble" Shungites that are what you're wanting. Note too the difference between tumbled and raw shungite.

Remember to care for your stone and rest and recharge it regularly. This stone has a high capacity and can be increased through use and exposure to the sun.
