Top Ten Instant Stress Relievers
Today I felt the urge to relieve my stress by writing a lens about it!
So here is my take on relieving stress the alternative way. I've been working as an energy worker and holistic healer for the past 2 years and have found these techniques work well for me. All the remedies provided are intended to be used as an alternative to modern medicines and are healers at an energetic level.
The theory behind this is that everything is made of atoms which are pure energy in vibration. When we introduce certain vibratory signatures into our auric field, they have the effect of balancing and harmonizing auras that have been contaminated with stress and negative thought patterns. So by treating ones vibration, as opposed to giving someone a pill to feel better, you can ultimately remove the toxic stress pattern altogether creating a new way of being.
1.Breathe
Stop, take a deep breath, notice your lungs filling with air. Consciously breathe in through the nose and out through the mouth bringing in fresh clean life giving oxygen into the body. Breathe, relax, and know that there is nothing wrong in this moment right now. You are right where you need to be and the stress you feel is an indicator that you are not being fully aware and in the present moment. So breathe deep and just let go.
Learning to meditate is the fastest way I have found to counteract stress. There are many guides and videos about different techniques and you can't go wrong with any one! My favorite method is to simply notice the breath. Begin there and the rest will fall into place!

2. Exercise
A simple way to relieve stress and lift spirits is to move the body. It has long been hailed that exercise can reduce stress, aid depression, and all around make you feel good!
WALKING / RUNNING: Simply step outside and go for a run! Walking and running can bring you in tune with yourself and promote meditative states. Walking meditation can help sort out the problems that are causing the stress that is building up.
DANCING: Move your body, be free, express yourself to music and you will find stress melt away in no time.
YOGA: There are many Yoga practices designed to promote awareness and harmony through simple breathing techniques.
Here is one example of a yoga routine, but there are many! Do some research and find one that is right for you.
Exercise
The most important thing!
Be sure to find an exercise that you enjoy!
3. Find some nature!
One exceptional way to relieve stress without any tools is to simply find a quiet spot in nature and meditate.
>>>>Go to a local park or beach and take off your shoes. Allow the healing energies of the Earth to soothe and ease the auric field. Trees and nature have the power to bring us back to our harmonious nature-balanced selves.
Grounding Exercise:
Sit on the ground in a comfortable position (usually legs crossed if possible)
Imagine a root extending from the base of your spine into the Earth,
reaching farther and farther down into the molten "energetic core"
Allow loving and healing energy to surround you
Thank Mother Earth for the Divine Grounding Connection.
Core Exercise:
Now see the Sun shinning above in your imagination, bring the sunlight into the center of your body and connecting to your spine. Feel golden healing energies pulse from the Sun through you to the Earth down your "root chord" (created in the grounding exercise)
Breathe deep, through the nose and out the mouth three times and then relax and notice all the noises and sounds around you.
Enjoy the moment and laugh in the Sunshine!
4.Take a Bath
One of my favorite ways to release stress is to take a long soothing bath. Light some candles and incenses, perfume the water with minerals and oils, and step into heaven! There are many all natural bath crystals and additives that make for a wonderful bathing experience.
Essential Bath Kit Ideas:
Fairy Dust: All natural minerals and essential oils that color the water!
Organic Bubble Bath with lavender
Aromatherapy candles
clear quartz (or other water friendly) crystals to put in the water with you
cucumbers for the eyes
soothing music
rose petals
someone to massage your aches!
Want to amp up the bathing stress relief? Jump in the jacuzzi! See picture below for best use of stress relief in the hot tub :D
5. Create!
Create something you are proud of!
Draw, paint, write, sing, dance, these are all ways to channel stress out of the body and replace those negative thought patterns with self-love. Find a hobby you enjoy and the creation process will release stress.
This is one of the reasons I made this lens, to channel my own stress in a creative and loving way! I hope you have enjoyed it so far. My focus is to relieve stress in a natural healthy way thereby getting rid of it all together!
6. Passion
Create more passion in your life! Yes I mean have sex!! Go out on a date night, take time to do something different than the same routine. The change will break up the monotony and rev up that sex life! Sex is an excellent way to releave stress when you can share the act with someone you love.
No one in your life? Well there is no harm in pleasing yourself!

7. Palo Santo
There is a magical wood I have found that instantly melts and soothes my stressed out psyche! Palo Santo is a mystical tree that grows on the coast of South America and is related to Frankincense, Myrrh and Copal. In Spanish, the name literally means "Holy Wood". This beautifully smelling wood smolders for a few moments and fills your aura with cleansing and protective energies. Some of its reported benefits are;
Headache relief
clears away allergy symptoms or
breathing issues
lifts moods and relieves stress
Clears negative thoughts instantly bringing a sense of peace
Palo Santo is burned in ceremonies by Shamans and Medicine people for its energetically cleansing and healing properties similar to Sage. It creates a pleasant, fresh smelling smoke with hints of mint and citrus that work well in keeping away mosquitoes and other flying insects. It provides an uplifting scent that raises your vibration in preparation for meditation and allows for a deeper connection to Source. It is also said that Palo Santo enhances creativity and brings good fortune to those who are open to its Magic.
Sage leaves can also be used as an alternative, but personally I find it better for ceremonies and large scale ritual. Sage smoke can be very strong smelling and somewhat overwhelming. This can induce a strong meditative state bringing instant stress relief. Sage burns strong and clears where as palo santo soothes and protects.

8. Lavender
Lavender has long been hailed for its stress relieving and calming scent.
A staple amoungst aromatherapy users, this lovely flower is somewhat of an acquired taste. Although not to my liking, I prefer palo santo, I had to give it the cred its earned. Lavender in particular is often used for its soothing qualities and ability to promote deep sleep.
Because of the convenience and ease of use that comes with it, lavender aromatherapy is an ideal stress relief tool. Here are some of the ways you can use lavender aromatherapy for stress relief.
1. Lavender Mist, create or obtain a spray to mist on pillows and clothing.
2. Lavender oil, take it out and take a wiff!
3. Lavender filled satchels. Fill cloth bags with lavender herbs to enjoy fresh clean scent from the flower itself.
4. Lavender infused lotions to soothe the skin and bring stress relief.
5. Candles or incense. Lavender infused candles can bring tranquility and peace to the environment creating a soothing atmosphere instantly relieving stress.

9. Crystals
Crystals have incredible healing powers and work on a subtle energetic level. I have been using crystals for two years and have found them an invaluable tool in releasing stressful thought patterns. My favorite stress reducers are:
Rose Quartz: Soothe the heart chakra and helps to release negative thoughts relating to failed relationships or ones self worth.
Clear Quartz: An all around powerhouse for healing and releasing negative energy. Clear quartz can balance and synergize all the chakras promoting a sense of peace and connection to divinity.
Petalite: A Soothing and calming stone that brings peaceful thoughts. Said to access inner guidance from angelic realms
Celestite: This beautiful blue stone brings tranquility and calm vibrations to the aura, soothing and protecting one from repetitive negative thoughts. Connects to the throat chakra and promotes inner awareness.
The list goes on and on!
What are your favorite crystals for stress reduction?
White selenite to cleanse and protect the aura.
Crystals are just rocks!
10. Laugh!
One of the easiest instant stress relievers is to laugh! Find a funny movie, watch silly cat videos, talk to your funny friend that always lifts your spirit. Laughter is truly the best medicine.
A laughter a day keeps the doctor away!
